Measure Your Ability to Succeed
Success doesn’t depend on how smart you are. What matters is your capacity to make effective decisions when faced with problems, challenges and opportunities.
When you learn how you make decisions, the actions you will want to take to implement those decisions, and how you communicate your ideas to others allows you to efficiently and effectively plan and execute a path to success.
And each of these can be measured scientifically via a set of assessments called the Business Success Profile.
The Hartman Value Profile
Perhaps you have asked yourself:
- “Why do I have so much trouble increasing my income?”
- “Why have I missed or mishandled so many opportunities?”
- “Why does my fear of making mistakes paralyze me?”
- “Can I succeed if I have my own business?”
- “How can I know if I’m seeing my options clearly?”
- “Is my lack of self-esteem holding me back?
- How can I can improve my self-concept?”
Each of these questions can be answered using the Nobel-nominated science developed by Robert S. Hartman.
With information gained from the Hartman Value Profile, the first leg of the Businss Success Profile, you will discover both your greatest strengths and the blockers that interfere with your ability to use your strengths to your best advantage.
This understanding enables you to alter — at a core level — anything that is blocking your success so you can finally achieve your full potential in a way that is in tune with your values.
For years, I wondered why, when analyzing a situation, I can see solutions and possibilities that seem obvious to me, but others don’t see. As a result, I sometimes felt like an outsider.
From the Business Success Profile, I learned that although I see problems, challenges, and opportunities clearly, I have a highly unconventional way of thinking. Rather than this being a problem, it’s actually a strength. Understanding this as a strength helped me perceive my value to others in a whole new way and changed the way I perceived my position in the marketplace. With renewed confidence I was able to significantly increase my income.
One of my clients, Jim, was brought up in a wealthy household, so he was comfortable with money. Yet he found it difficult to earn anything on his own. Once he was shown his strong decision-making and tactical thinking ability plus his other strengths, with the help of a coach, he was able to move past his self-doubts and create a six-figure income.
What Motivates You?
In addition to understanding how you make your decisions, becoming familiar with the internal drivers that determine what actions you will want to take when implementing your decisions will help you develop effective business and marketing strategies. .
Some people are motivated by the potential for a return on their investment in time, effort, or money. For others, service to others, personal power and maintaining control of a situation, or enhancing their individuality matters most. Still others are likely to be driven by knowledge, the need for work/life balance, or comfort with or dislike of structure. For each person, either the strength or absence of these motivators in unique combination affects how they will act.
Like your critical thinking capacity, these drivers, or motivators, can also be scientifically measured as part of the second leg of the Business Success Profile. An understanding of your motivators is essential for creating a business plan and practice-building strategies that are congruent with who you are and can propel you towards real success.
How Do You Communicate?
Finally, learning about how you communicate the decisions you make to others is the third leg of understanding your effectiveness in business and your ability to succeed.
There are four basic communication styles, but an infinite variety of how they combine in each person. Knowledge of your individual communication style and how others see you provides valuable insight to how to improve relationships in both business and your personal life.
At the same time, as you come to understand how people with communication styles other than your are presenting themselves, you can form better relationships and interpersonal interactions.
The report that scientifically measures your communication style includes extensive information to help you communicate with others who have a different style than you.
People who teach, as I do, are often extroverts who can easily talk to anyone who crosses their path. We also love to be in the spotlight. It’s sometime hard for people like me to understand the quiet introvert who wants to be the behind-the-scenes person and has a more indirect approach.
Once I understood my own style and how to communicate with people who aren’t anything like me, I did a much more effective job as a teacher and coach and I was able to feel more connected to a larger number of people.
The Unique Value of the Business Success Profile
Lots of people use assessments such as the Hartman Values Profile, the Internal Motivators, and the DISC Assessment, which measures communication styles. But only a small number of practitioners, like myself, can scientifically INTEGRATE the information from all three.
This integration gives you an incredible amount of information that you can use to enhance your position in the marketplace and thus your potential for success. You will also be able to appreciate yourself on a whole new level, giving you the confidence you need to present your valuable, authentic self to the world. Confidence is a key ingredient for success.
Most practitioners who use this integrated set of assessments use them in a corporate setting where they are used to evaluate job candidates or build effective teams. I’ve learned how to use them in a different way.
My love is helping small business owners, solopreneurs, and practitioners of all kinds experience success that supports who they are on a deep core level. Using this integrated Business Success Profile along with my high level of intuition and unconventional thinking allows me to help people like you build a strong business or practice that is in tune with your personal values.
