Allowing Your Wishes to Come True

Smiling genieWishes don’t come true, especially in business, unless you create the conditions for that wish happening.

For example, let’s say you want to increase your revenues. No matter what you want, there are two kinds of actions you need to take.

One is internal: to make sure that your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions are congruent with what you’re trying to create. The other is external: ensuring that your business and financial skills can support what you are hoping to achieve.

The Internal

If longing, dissatisfaction, disappointment and self-criticism are habits that you have developed, then unless you deal with each of those thoughts and emotions, you’re going to continue to create longing, dissatisfaction, and disappointment and you’ll continue to treat yourself in an unsupported way.

So before you attempt to create more revenue, it’s a good idea to deal with the thoughts, beliefs, and emotional habits that are helping to create your current situation.

I have been a guest on a lot of other people’s podcasts lately, and I’m amazed at how many of the podcast hosts are only vaguely aware of the effect a person’s mindset has on their money. It’s encouraging to know that when they hear my theories, they find the ideas interesting and want to know more.

The External

When I hear people talk about the Law of Attraction and they indicate that if you get your mindset right, money will come to you, it really pushes my buttons.

Money doesn’t just show up. You have to create a container into which it can flow – that container being a business of some sort or a situation where someone else pays you. It doesn’t fly in the window.

And once it flows into that container, if you don’t know how to take care of it and manage your cash flow, that container will soon be empty once again.
