Dear Joan,
I have been a fan of your podcasts and have followed your blogs and always believed that you connected finances with the Infinite. You can’t have one without the other. At no time did I feel that you made money more important than working with and in the Divine. Sometimes we are so focused on what we do that we don’t realize that we ourselves are on the path we are trying to get others on. Thank you for always sharing what you know.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It makes me appreciate you even that much more. A noticed this quote in a friend of mine’s email signature the other day, “Stay true and your heart will lead you truly”. And, I know that to be true.

I am SO glad to hear this, Joan, and to celebrate with you. I had to “come out” spiritually as well some years ago. And I’ve talked to a number of big business guru types, and many of them hide their spirituality, fearing their clients can’t handle it- when their spirituality is the reason for how they handle what they do!

So, definitely celebrating with you! Woo-hoo! We all need it so desperately from each other.

The forces of the market will manifest whatever they are going to manifest, regardless as to what the politicians are doing…. This correction has been gathering steam for a few years as the money supply was increased to create jobs, particularly after Nafta.

And now we get to deal with the excesses of the past.

Definitely we are in a time of opportunity to examine and change our thinking.

On Talk of the Nation on NPR today there was an interesting conversation about this and one of the commentators suggested they tithe 10% of the billions of dollars in bail out money to the ordinary people who may lose their homes and most everything else through this mess. Thoughts?

For me, Krugman’s articles are clear, insightful and always provide the long view. I also find the NYTimes’ freakanomics blog, in the business section, helpful in sorting through these issues. A recent post was a Q&A on what got us “here” that was the best I’ve read so far.

These techniques are new to me. I will be working with them. From my brief experience, to get these ideas to work there has to be some good effort and a commitment to make them work….. or, perhaps I should say, a belief in their power…

The idea of the ‘power word’ appeals to me……… I will keep ya posted….
